Check out our Bookshop.org page here. When you purchase books through Bookshop.org, gives back to local bookstores through their affiliate program. Full disclosure: they'll throw a few pennies our way too. And we're the little guy, so we are grateful to you for supporting our local business.
During each weekend of the Yoga + Ayurveda Immersion Program, we learn how to eat nourishing, seasonal foods that are simple and easy to make at home. One of the highlights is always Veronica's bread. Here she shares the recipe. It takes 60 seconds to throw together. Then plan to proof the dough overnight and bake the next morning, or put it together in the morning and bake it when you get home from work that evening.
Yesterday I had a parent come in and try to sign her teenage daughter up for a yoga class. She said to me, "My daughter needs yoga because her body is out of balance." or "Yoga will help her relax and breathe. She needs something to help her relax." Often what I really hear the person saying, is, "I need something to help me relax." It was no surprise to me when she admitted to never having taken a yoga class before.
Our teacher and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist Veronica Wolff-Casey created this simple recipe to chase the winter cold away. It was originally published in the Ayurvedic Journal of Health, which means she's famous! Those of us who have had her food know why it's so good. The spices are what makes the flavors so great, and makes it easy to digest. You can find most of what you need at your local Indian market. Try it and let us know what you think.
